Ashoka is the largest network of social entrepreneurs worldwide, with around 3,200 Ashoka Fellows in 80 countries putting their outstanding ideas into practice in order to tackle the most pressing social challenges. Examples of Ashoka Fellows are the Nobel Peace Price Laureate Kailash Satyarthi and Jimmy Wales, the founder of Wikipedia. Ashoka supports these leading social entrepreneurs in spreading their ideas by providing access to pro bono consulting, a large network and needs-based financial support.
Ashoka’s vision is a society in which everyone is empowered to be a changemaker. The organization therefore connects decision-makers from politics, business and civil society to create an ecosystem in which social innovations can grow.
