Dr. Roman Friedrich is Partner at Booz & Company in Düsseldorf and Stockholm and the Head of the global Communications, Media and Technology Practice (CMT). He has a long and successful track record in strategy consulting and gathered more than 18 years of management consulting experiences serving clients in Europe. Roman’s main focus lies in strategic consulting for companies in the telecommunications sector (network operators, service providers, OTT players, media companies and technology companies) supporting them in structural transformations. In recent years Roman has focused primarily on the advice of telecommunications companies in managing the transition into the digital era which involves the development of growth strategies, structural cost transformation, and the development of new operating models. His functional focus is in digitization and dynamic market simulations (war gaming) as well as on sales, marketing and customer care. He is also frequently quoted in the international business press and author of many white papers on telecommunications trends. With his digital consulting activities he is focusing on new business model opportunities, efficiency increases and new customer insights gained by the use of digital technologies across industries.
Prior to joining Booz & Company, he worked as a scientist in the field of theoretical elementary particle. Dr. Friedrich earned a PhD in physics from University of Tübingen and a diploma from Technical University of Darmstadt.
