New York native David Karp founded Tumblr Inc., a micro-blogging platform, in 2007. Tumblr allows users to effortlessly share anything. Prior to launching Tumblr, David ran technology at UrbanBaby.com until its acquisition by CNET Networks in 2005. He spent two years at the helm of his development firm, Davidville, before his team launched Tumblr.com.
