Isabell M. Welpe is a Full Professor at theTechnische Universität München and holds the Chair for Strategy and Organization. Her research interests are in the area of strategy and organization from a behavioral science perspective, with a focus on strategic leadership, performance management, human resources management, organizational design and behavior in organizations. She studied management at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, Germany and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston, USA. She completed an additional MSc at the London School of Economics before finishing her PhD on Technology Entrepreneurship at the University of Regensburg. She has been a visiting professor at the Keck Graduate Institute, Claremont, USA and a postdoctoral fellow at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Before taking over the Chair for Strategy and Organization at the Technische Universität München, she worked at the Max Planck Institute for Economics. Isabell M. Welpe is an editorial board and review member of several academic and professional journals and the author of several books and edited volumes as well as over 60 articles and book chapters. Her research has appeared in such journals as Organization Studies, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, Journal of Business Venturing, and others.
