Zach Sims is the cofounder and CEO of Codecademy, the easiest way to learn to code. Codecademy has attracted millions of students all over the world in its effort to create a learning community where students learn by doing. Codecademy students have written billions of lines of code together and hail from nearly every country in the world. Codecademy is backed by investors including Union Square Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, Index Ventures, and Richard Branson. Prior to founding Codecademy, Zach was an early member of the team at GroupMe, a group-texting service that sold to Skype a year after its founding. He has also worked in venture capital at AOL Ventures and as a member of the team at drop.io (sold to Facebook). Zach dropped out of Columbia University.
