Amit Shafrir is President, and board member of Badoo, the fast-growing social network for meeting new people. He is also involved in a variety of Consumer Internet and Mobile companies. Badoo, with offices in London has over 170 million users around the world, with annual sales of over $150 million.

Amit has vast expertise in both consumer Internet and enterprise software, having managed some of the Internet’s most powerful brands such as ICQ, Netscape Security Solutions, and Winamp. Amit is also COO of SaferAging, providing technology allowing for senior to live longer in their homes. He is the former President of AOL Premium Services, where he also served as GM of AOL’s Digital Media Services and was responsible for AOL’s Music services, MUSICNET@AOL, and AOL Music Now. He also held senior position at Amdocs, the global leading supplier of customer care, billing and operations support software, that provides services to companies like AT&T, Sprint, Nextel and T-Mobile.

Amit holds a BA and MBA degrees from Tel Aviv University. He lives in Bethesda, MD with his wife Shulamit, and his children Daniel & Michal. He enjoys good wine, good food, and likes listening to Music (classical), and the performing arts.
