Caroline Seifert is Senior Vice President of Design Deutsche Telekom. She drove the buildup of Design forward focusing on context and simplicity, due to dissatisfaction of using products. Today she leads a team of 26 different nationalities developing topics such as how to manage my digital own world, beginning with access over interconnection up to services such as TV. Caroline Seifert works in the telecommunications industry for almost 30 years and was involved in the introduction of mobile communications into the German market. She also had a major role in projects such as “Aufbau Ost” and she contributed significantly in first start-ups of telematics. She mainly focused on topics like change, disruption and future growth - for example one of the first location-based-services, mobile navigation solutions and the very first worldwide emergency call system in the car. Furthermore, Caroline Seifert is the founder of T-Gallery which is the interdisciplinary future forum of Deutsche Telekom. Together with international experts, partners, universities and customers, prototypes of the digital life of tomorrow are here being shaped continuously. She is responsible for not only 150 successful products on the market, several patents and worldwide recognized Design Awards, she is also a member of the “Future Network”, which develops drivers of tomorrow with about 380 experts from all over the world. Moreover, Caroline Seifert is a executive member in a number of international expert committees. She loves “Leberwurst” sandwiches, Depeche Mode and collects books and shoes.
