Hjalmar is an acclaimed serial entrepreneur based in Stockholm. In 1994 he founded his first mobile Internet company, Sendit, which he took public in Sweden, and was later acquired by Microsoft. Following the acquisition Hjalmar assumed the position as general manager of Microsoft’s Mobile Internet Business Unit. In 2006 he founded the mobile VoIP provider Rebtel where he still serves as chairman. Today, Hjalmar is president and CEO of Wrapp, the social gifting company he co-founded in 2011 that’s built on a friend-to-friend marketing platform which major retailers use for customer acquisition and retention. Hjalmar is also a board member and senior advisor for several international businesses including EQT Partners and Creandum, and Springer Science+Business Media, is an angel investor in EpidemicSound, a music library service for broadcasters, as well as iZettle, the social payments company whose mini chip-card reader and app turns smartphones and tablets into a mobile credit card payment terminal.
