With more than fifteen years of operating and venture capital experience, Karin currently heads Bloomberg Beta’s east coast investing activities. Bloomberg Beta is a $75M venture fund to invest in early-stage tech companies. Previously, Karin was the head of new initiatives at Bloomberg LP, where she and her team focused on building new businesses, developing strategy and forming partnerships.

Before joining Bloomberg, Karin was a venture capitalist at Softbank. Karin sourced and served on the board of Buddy Media which was acquired by Salesforce. She also led Softbank's team that reviewed new investments and provided guidance to portfolio company management teams.

Prior to Softbank, Karin worked with the MC Group and Knowledge Universe. Karin first developed her passion for building businesses when she co-founded an educational training company for children.

Karin graduated on the Director’s List, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with an MBA and BS from the Wharton School and a BA from the Annenberg School of Communications at the University of Pennsylvania.

Karin mentors high growth companies through New York City Economic Development Corp, Techstars and L'Oreal.
