Professor Lisa Randall studies theoretical particle physics and cosmology at Harvard University, where she is Frank J. Baird, Jr. Professor of Science. Randall’s research connects theoretical insights addressing puzzles in our understanding in the properties of matter, the Universe, and space. Randall’s studies have made her among the most cited and influential theoretical physicists. Her latest book Dark Matter and the Dinosaurs is a sweeping overview of the evolution of the Universe, the Milky Way, the Solar System, and of life. Professor Randall’s previous books Warped Passages: Unraveling the Mysteries of the Universe’s Hidden Dimensions (2005), and Knocking on Heaven’s Door: How Physics and Science Illuminate the Universe and Modern World (2011) were featured on the New York Time’s lists of “100 Notable Books.” Her e-book, Higgs Discovery: The Power of Empty Space was released as a Kindle Single in 2012 and a paperback by Ecco in 2013. A sought after keynote speaker, Randall also has a public presence through her writing, and radio and TV appearances.
