Mikko Hypponen asks the DLD audience: What kind of internet are we going to leave for the next generation? He continues to give examples of how monopolies are ruling the market as service providers. Hypponen shows how we pay these services with our data and privacy. “The biggest lie on the internet is ‘I agree with the terms and conditions’”, says Hypponen and makes everyone laugh as he demonstrates that no one every reads these terms and conditions. Hypponen presentation ends with his comment: “We got a free and open net a couple of decades ago, but what is happening to this freedom if we don’t care about our data and privacy?”
