The early 90-s saw Aliona enter the extensive sphere of media and PR, serving as media consultant at DeBeers, and contributing reports to major European channels as well as articles to Russian publications. She was later appointed Director of Public Relations at the British Council in Moscow where successfully managed several major cultural projects including the "Living Bridges" exhibition at The State Tretyakov Gallery under the aegis of The Royal Academy. In 1998 Aliona became the first Editor-in-Chief of the newborn Vogue Russia, and was the creative mind and taste behind the magazine until August, 2010. In early 2011 Aiona was offered to become an Editor-in-Chief of another major publication gone East - the legendary Andy Warhol's Interview Magazine, which was brought to both Russia and Germany by the Russian high-end property developer Vladislav Doronin and Phillips de Pury & Company CEO Bernd Runge. The publication celebrates uncensored up-to-date views on music, art, and fashion and takes pride on being the first Russian glossy magazine that doesn't gloss over the interviews and photo shoots, leaving the reader figure out the controversial points for himself.
