Cyriac is a Silicon Valley-based German-born entrepreneur and angel investor. He is the co-founder and Member of the Board of [shopkick](http://www.shopkick.com/) in Silicon Valley, backed by Reid Hoffman/Greylock and Kleiner Perkins’/Apple’s iFund. He was named a [Tech Pioneer 2013](http://retailingtoday.com/article/shopkick-honored-most-innovative-technology-startup) by the World Economic Forum (WEF). Shopkick was ranked one of America’s 500 Fastest Growing Private Companies by Inc. Magazine, one of the 100 Most Promising Companies in America by Forbes, one of the world’s 10 Most Innovative Companies In Retail by Fast Company, and by Nielsen as the most widely used shopping app at U.S. stores by active users and reach. Shopkick’s partners include Best Buy, Macy’s, JCPenney, American Eagle, TJMaxx, Sports Authority, Home Goods, P&G, Kraft, Unilever, Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Mondelez, Nestle, Revlon, L’Oreal, HP, Ford, Visa and MasterCard.
It took shopkick four years to drive the first $1 billion in revenues for its partners, and one year for the second, billion $. In October 2014, SK Telecom / SK Planet, South Korea’s largest mobile commerce player and a Fortune 100 company, acquired shopkick for $250 million in cash. A year after the acquisition, and seven years after starting the company, Cyriac handed his CEO role at shopkick to his successor. Prior to shopkick, Cyriac spent a year at [Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers](http://www.kpcb.com/), the investors of Google and Amazon.com, as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence. At CBS, the largest U.S. television network, Cyriac was the founder and EVP of CBS Mobile, responsible for all of mobile across entertainment, sports and news.
In 1999, Cyriac co-founded mobile marketing firm 12snap in five countries in Europe, with Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, L’Oreal, adidas and MTV as partners. Prior at McKinsey & Company, he worked with global media and software players in Europe and Silicon Valley. Cyriac received the first Cannes Lion Awards for mobile in 2003/4. In 2007/8, Cyriac received the first Emmy Award nominations for mobile. He is the co-author of the Harvard Business School Press Book *Secrets of Software Success*.
Cyriac has two little sons and is married to an American TV and online producer, Angel Roeding.
