Dana Gers has spent virtually her entire career working in marketing communications for the luxury sector, specializing in modernizing established, classic brands and integrating a strong sense of creativity with an analytical and strategic approach. Her experience includes working for Guerlain, The Movado Group, Baccarat, Salvatore Ferragamo and Jimmy Choo where she is currently the Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing and Global Communications. At Jimmy Choo, she oversees brand development and management of the advertising, public relations, visual merchandising, direct mail, customer relationship management and digital strategy for the company. Since joining Jimmy Choo in 2011, Gers has established a hub and spoke communications structure setting a clear brand vision from the global headquarters and building regional teams including adding structure to new subsidiaries in Japan and Asia. She has overseen the brand’s evolution through a creative transition, succeeding in elevating the profile of Jimmy Choo editorially, creating greater media visibility, and building a more contemporary and relevant image. Digital communication has been a priority, and under Gers’ leadership, Jimmy Choo has achieved some of the highest levels of social media fan engagement amongst the luxury fashion competitive set. She has served as a featured speaker at the Harvard Business School Retail and Luxury Goods Conference, the Forbes Magazine Luxury Conference, the Yale Center for Customer Insights School of Management Luxury Marketing Conference and the WWD Digital Forum. She is also a contributor on the subject of marketing communications within the luxury goods industry on Forbes.com CMO channel. A graduate of Cornell University, Gers is married with two children and lives in London.
