Delia Cohen specializes in turning extraordinary ideas -- involving the arts, cutting-edge technology and new media --into reality. The common theme is that they all attempt to make the world a better place. Current projects include helping US correctional facilities organize TEDx events inside prisons and coordinating US prison participation in Eve Ensler's 1 Billion Rising for Justice Campaign. Previously, she managed Nokia's $1million investment challenge and ran Goldie Hawn's education foundation. Before then, Delia was the executive director of TED Prize project Pangea Day, charged with using the power of film to connect the world; millions of people in 180 countries participated in the event. Prior jobs include running the first communications department for the Clinton Global Initiative, as well as a department in the White House handling public communications for President Clinton. She also worked with the NYC Department of Ed to establish a US-China cultural exchange program, built a communications campaign for Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus using the first online subtitling tool, and produced a photo-essay on democracy with Richard Avedon for The New Yorker.
