Georg Eisenreich was appointed Bavarian State Minister of Justice on November 12, 2018 after elections to the Bavarian Landtag took place in October 2018. He previously served as Minister of the Digital Agenda, Media and Europe in the Bavarian State Chancellery (since March 2018). Before that, he was Vice-Minister for Education and Religious Affairs, Science and the Arts (since 2013). From 2002 to 2003, Mr. Eisenreich was an honorary City Councillor in Munich. He has been a member of the Bavarian Landtag since 2003 where he represented the Munich-Hadern constituency (Upper Bavaria). From 2008 to 2013, he was the spokesman on Education Policy for the CSU parliamentary group in the Bavarian Landtag. Before entering politics, Mr. Eisenreich worked as a lawyer in Munich.
