Jim is the Founder/CEO of Breyer Capital, a pre-eminent Venture Capital and Investment Firm based in Menlo Park, CA. Jim is also the Co-Chair of IDG China-Breyer Capital where since 2005, he has served on the Investment Committee (IDG China is the first/earliest investor in Tencent, Baidu, Xiaomi, Sensetime and many other Chinese internet leaders). Previous to Breyer Capital, Jim was Managing Partner and President and CEO of Accel Management since 2000. Jim is currently a Fellow of the Harvard Corporation, Harvard University's senior governing board, a Trustee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) , a member of the Harvard Business School Advisory Board, a member of the Stanford University Engineering School Advisory Board, a member of the Stanford University AI task force, the Chairman of the Stanford Engineering Advisory Board, and the Chairman of the Advisory Board, Tsinghua School of Economics and Management, Beijing. Jim is also currently a Board Member of Blackstone Group (BX), and 21st Century Fox (FOXA). He has served as a major investor and as a Board Member of many leading corporations including Facebook (where he led the first institutional venture capital financing in April 2005 and joined the Board), Legendary Entertainment, Etsy, Circle, Wal-Mart Inc, Dell, Marvel Entertainment, and many others. He received his BS from Stanford University, and his MBA from Harvard Business School where he was named a Baker Scholar (top 5% of the class).
