Johannes Winkelhage
Johannes has been a technology enthusiast since the 80s and was as a journalist heavily involved in the beginnings of the Internet. His first e-mail address was s=ext/winkelhage ou=kmx P=gmd a=dbp c=de (X.400 standard).
During the first ten years of his career he worked as a freelance journalist for magazines, press agencies and all nationwide German daily newspapers. In 1996 he became a business editor at Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. From this position he covered the rise of the Internet and the disruptive changes in telecommunications, coming along with the digital revolution. He was also responsible for the newspaper coverage of the World Economic Forum in Davos for almost 10 years.
In 2009 he joined [Deutsche Telekom](https://www.telekom.de/start?WT.srch=1) and heads a small Think Tank located in the CEO’s office. The unit is responsible for special projects including the annual CEO-Conference called “24 Hours”.
