Ken Auletta is a leading author, journalist and media-critic. He has been writing the Annals of Communications profiles of leading figures and companies of the Information Age for *The New Yorker* magazine since 1992, for which he started writing in 1977.
His profiles include, among others, Google, Bill Gates, Rupert Murdoch, Sheryl Sandberg. For his 2001 profile of Ted Turner he was awarded with the National Magazine Award for the best profile of the year.
