As Director of Consumer Product Marketing at PayPal, Matt Gromada is responsible for driving the mobile democratization of money with a special focus in peer-to-peer payment strategy and consumer segmentation. Prior to this role, Matt led a team of 50 global leaders for PayPal’s Global Product Launch team, where he was responsible for delivering better product experiences as well as product delivery and launch execution to global markets. At PayPal, Matt has also led the North America Strategy team, managing the initiative portfolio for PayPal’s largest business unit, and the Consumer Insights team, overseeing all consumer and merchant market research at PayPal and building PayPal’s global NPS program. Matt has more than 15 years of consumer product and consulting experience from working with previous clients such as Wal-Mart, The Home Depot, and The Walt Disney Company with additional experience in the entertainment industry from building new business development partnerships. Matt is often quoted in publications such as CNBC, Fortune, TechCrunch, VentureBeat, Washington Post and more. Matt earned his MBA as a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Oxford, he also received a BA with high honors, Phi Beta Kappa from Wesleyan University as a triple major. He resides in the New York metropolitan area.
