Rolf-Dieter is a German television journalist and former manager of the ARD studios in Brussels.
After his A-Levels in Braunschweig he absolved a traineeship at the local Landeszeitung in Lüneburg. He was local chief editor in Unna, Kamen and Hamm.
In 1981 he worked as a correspondent for regional politics at the WAZ, and afterwards as a local editor in Dortmund. In 1982 he started at the regional WDR studio in Düsseldorf.
From 1985 to 1990 Rolf-Dieter Krause was correspondent for ARD in Bonn and later in Brussels. In 1994 he became manager of the studio. In 1995 he went back as the representative studio manager in Bonn. In 2000 he started as the chief of program at the WDR television. In May 2001 he became manager of the ARD studio in Brussels.
In August 2016 Rolf-Dieter Krause transferred the studio management to Markus Preiß and retired.
